Reinforcing positive behaviour
Our primary goal with SWPBS is to reinforce positive behaviour in an effort to reduce inappropriate behaviour. Our positive behaviour system includes:

Students will be rewarded for displaying positive behaviour by being issued with a bee buck. Bee bucks are issued in the classroom, play-ground, specialist lessons, before and after school. The bee buck is worth one point on a bee chart and the accumulation of these points will entitle each student to the a variety of rewards that increase in value. Each class has a Bee catalogue which highlights items students can "purchase" with Bee bucks earnt.
Student of the week awards
Each week one or more students are selected to receive a student of the week award from either their classroom teacher or a specialist teacher. These rewards will recognise each student’s ability to be respectful, responsible or safe.
Students of the month
Each month a student from each year level is selected to receive a student of the month award. The student who has demonstrated execellent behaviour throughout the month is presented with a special badge during parade.
