Students are encouraged to wear school uniform at all times. The sports shirts and uniform materials for both boys and girls are available from local stores in Gin Gin.
PARENTS PLEASE BE AWARE
· The school does not accept the wearing of singlets as day wear.
· Shoes must be worn to and from school.
· Bike pants and a top/t-shirt is unacceptable daywear. The school permits short-legged bike pants to be worn beneath dresses provided the dress covers them.
· No Hat No Play!
We request that parents comply with these rulings. Also please assist our staff, by ensuring that all items of clothing are labeled, and that your children return home from school with all their property and clothing.
GIRLS UNIFORM
· Green, yellow and white checked material
· The dress has a drop waist with cap sleeves cut on the cross
· The dress opens down the front of the bodice and has gold buttons, gold tie and
checked collar
· The skirt of the dress has 2 knife pleats facing toward the hip on either side of the center front and center back
· Alternatively, girls may wear green dress shorts and the checked uniform material may be used to make a shirt/blouse
· The pocket is optional and is embroidered with ‘G.G’ in gold
· Shoes
· White socks
· Hat - Bottle green with broad brim large enough to protect face, ears and back of the neck
JEWELLERY AND MAKE UP
· Children should not wear excessive quantities of jewellery to school. Gin Gin State School permits one ring, one necklace, one bracelet and ear studs only. No valuable pieces should be worn.
· Clear nail polish is the only type of make-up permitted.
BOYS UNIFORM
· Black shorts
· Shirt - Emerald green knitted polo style with black knit collar including “GinGinStateSchool”, and black knit armbands.
· Shoes
· White Socks
· Hat - Bottle green with broad brim large enough to protect face, ears and back of the neck
SPORTS UNIFORM
· Gold Shirt with coloured sleeves appropriate to children’s sporting house
° ELLIOT: Green
° MUSGRAVE: Red
° FRASER: Blue
· Girls are able to wear bottle green skirts with bike pants, shorts, or tracksuit pants underneath
· Boys to wear black shorts
· Hat - Bottle green with broad brim large enough to protect face, ears and back of the neck
SECOND HAND UNIFORMS
Second hand uniforms are available for sale from the tuckshop.
When your children have outgrown their uniforms sell them through the tuckshop.
A small commission is charged by the tuckshop.
